Martha H. Ackerman is Managing Director of Martha Ackerman & Associates, a management consulting, executive leadership development and training firm. As a leader of large, global client engagements, she works with clients to define project strategy and results, and manages teams to design and deliver to those results. Martha has helped numerous organizations improve customer loyalty, implement customer-focused initiatives, design and implement strategic initiatives, build alignment within the executive team, manage complex organizational change, and develop leadership capability.
Partnering with clients to achieve results has required Martha to provide a range of services to clients. She has executed customized consulting protocols and training solutions, comprehensive plans for implementing large scale and complex initiatives, customer research, and needs assessments. She has facilitated groups/seminars in the areas of sales and service, leadership development, effective teams, project management, and process improvement. Martha has also coached executives to develop leadership and management capability, designed and developed competency-based performance management systems, and assisted in the implementation of online learning systems. In addition to working on client projects, Martha is experienced in the assessment, design, and installation of cost-effective, strategically-linked training organizations in companies.
Before creating her own consulting practice, Martha served as Vice President and Senior Consultant with The Forum Corporation. Prior positions include vice president of a large money center bank, where she worked as an internal consultant to senior management to develop and execute human resource strategies for global expansion, joint ventures, changes in competitive positioning, turnarounds, and divestitures. She has also held positions in sales, consulting, training and development, and human resource management.

EDUCATION
Martha holds a BA from the University of Michigan and an MA in Behavioral Sciences from the University of Wisconsin. She has completed course work in Organizational Behavior at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Business.
